C2s look so great without sidepipes.

Look’s like Biden’s vette. I personally think that is one of the best versions, late stringray with the 4 spd and higher output 327.   Where are my Aviators I need to go for a drive...

My neighbor down the street has a 1967 L71 with 40k miles on it. He just died on Saturday, he fell down his stairs. I know his wife is also emotionally  attached to the car, but I wonder what will happen to it.

Terrible. We saw the emergency vehicles at the house on Saturday, and brought over a breakfast care package to their house yesterday morning. We had absolutely no idea what had happened, so needless to say we were shocked to hear that someone had passed away. Friendly gent in his early 70s that I’d trade pleasantries with when he walked his pup everyday. And man, was he proud of that car, he was excited when I asked about it.

Shit.

We put the elevator in my parents’ house so my mom wouldn’t fall on the stairs. It was completed a couple weeks after she died. My dad insists he’ll never need it, but I hope if it comes to it that he’s smart enough to not risk his neck on the stairs.

I agree. The side pipes look a bit like running boards on the side of a van.

Just too much chrome. Distracting from the clean lines

Agreed. We’ve though of finishing our basement and potentially relocating my mother in law to our house but those stairs really scare us for her mom.

Well, if you ever decide to go that route, know that I’ve just gone through the research, selection, and construction process.  I can tell you what I found about residential elevator options if you need.
